Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quoting tool needs gender, date of birth, self-assessed wellness, tobacco status, the death benefit you want, and your preferred coverage period. Six pieces of information—that's all you provide to receive quotes. More details (your real name, street address, health records) come in only if you proceed to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These are quotes the carriers provide based on your selected rating tier. They're estimates; not guarantees. The company determines your actual cost and rating class when they review your application, which may be better, worse, or the same. Quotes here are not insurance promises or locked rates.

What happens when I click Apply?

You supply your name and move into the carriers' protected application form. It's prefilled from what you answered here, hosted on the carrier network, can be saved and resumed, and you finalize it with your electronic signature. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurer (License 0B75129), processes the application.

Will I need a medical exam?

It's determined by the carrier, coverage quantity, and your details. Many companies provide fast-track choices with no exam for appropriate applicants; each rate quote says whether you need an exam, might need one, or won't need one.

Is a longer term better?

Think about the years when your dependents need that money: perhaps a mortgage you're still paying, kids not yet independent, a business obligation. Choose coverage for that span. Longer periods cost more monthly but keep rates locked in longer. This tool compares 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year lengths for side-by-side shopping.

Does this site sell my information?

Correct. The quotation form doesn't gather personal data; we avoid offering your information for purchase, and our tracking doesn't rely on cookies. Review our privacy section for the complete rundown of what gets gathered and by whom.
